fmincon with one variable in the objective function and the rest of variables are in the nonlinear constrained equations

Hello everyone,
I am trying to use fmincon with 34 variables. My question is: can i minimize a function that contains only one variable and the other variables are within the nonlinear constrained equations?
Thanks

If the one variable of the objective function also appears in the constraint function - yes. Otherwise your problem will either have no solution or will be unbounded.

Thanks Torsten for your answer. Actually, the one variable of the objective function will appear in the upper and lower bounds of one of the variables but will not appear in any of the nonlinear constrained equations.
