Matlab R2017b (or later) won't recognize my MCC USB-204 DAQ

I have a USB-204 DAQ from Measurement Computing Corp. and plan on acquiring data using Matlab. I have successfully connected an NI DAQ before have not had success with this MCC DAQ.
MCC says that this DAQ is supported by Mathworks (https://www.mccdaq.com/PDFs/Manuals/MATLAB-hw.pdf) and (http://www.hi-tec.it/data/prod/MCC_USB/pdf/USB-200-Series-data.pdf), but with the Data Acquisition toolbox installed, as well as "Data Acquisition Toolbox Support Package for Measurement Computing Hardware", the command "daq.getDevices" yields the output "No data acquisition devices available."
I found earlier questions about other newly supported devices, and a solution had been to replace the mwmcc.ini file with an updated one.
I see that in my MATLAB/R2017b/toolbox/daq/daq/ path that there is no *.ini file. Is this relevant to my problem? Is there an updated file that I need so Matlab will recognize my device? I did try the file linked in that earlier question, but I see that it does not contain information about the USB-204 device.

I am having the exact same issue with my USB-1208LS and MATALB 2020a. Did you manage to find a solution for It? Thank you
