Residual analysis & Low Pass Butterworth filter

10 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I am a PhD student in swimming biomechanics.
For my first PhD study I will be using force-time curve data and I am interested in how to smooth it. I would like to know how to apply a Butterworth low pass filter and define the cut-off frequency by residual analysis by in MATLAB. The sampling frequency is 333Hz. Find attached the a file with the force data.
I would appreciate whether you could tell me how to define the cut-off frequency by residual analysis and how to apply a Butterworth low pass filter with the selected cut-off frequency.
Thanks in advance

Hi Cristian,
Did you discover how to answer your question as I will need to do the same for my 2nd PhD study and wondered if you could help?
Kind Regards,
Ashley
