determining the value of an x corresponding to specifec y from the graph

I have two vector that I used to plot the following.

the vector used to plot the y axis does not contain the value 0.5

so I want to determin the value of the x axis in the point I have selectud manually in the figure.

its the point that x would have if it was a continuous variable. but I do want to do this with code to use this value in some other computation.

Use polyfit to fit a linear line along all data points. It gives you a linear equation in terms of x and y. Just insert the value of x or y to get the other variable.
