extraction of a specific slice from the 3D shepp Logan phantom to reconstruct it

i have a 3d shepp logan phantom (it consists of 128 slices) image and i was wondering if it was possible to extracte one slice like the 64th slice for example and use it for reconstruction ???

If it's a standard 3D array, you can do something like slice = image(:,:,64) to get the 64th slice.
