Lag in video streaming with simulink and Raspberry Pi camera module

I am using the simulink model shown below to stream video on MATLAB, but there is significant lag in the streaming (with both ethernet and wifi connection)

What can I do to improve the performance of the system? and is it possible to change the camera parameters (resolution, frame rate etc from the simulink) ?

try using the snapshot function as described in the link below instead of simulink
