call fortran code from matlab

I have a matlab code to compute some variables. i have another fortran code that computes another variable. I wanna make matlab open fortran and run it then takes the output as an initial value to compute another variables. can somebody help? and thank you in advance.

If the code is pretty simple..convert the Fortran code to MATLAB and use....else you should explore the option of mex files.

you must use fortran mex file. in this way, matlab call fortran exacutable file.
