Choosing the Step Size using Stepinfo

6 views (last 30 days)
Dear all,
Would you know how to select the size of the step function when using stepinfo? I know it is equal to 1 by default, but I need to use different values.
I appreciate your help!!
Sincerely,
Andre Luna.

stepinfo() is to tell step response characteristics such as rise time, overshoott, etc. given that the step response is provided.
What you need is step(). You can run step(SYS,T) in which T specifies the time vector. You can choose your step size by specifying T, for example, T=0:0.01:2

Hello, Fangjun Jiang!
I am sorry I think I expressed myself wrong. I should have said amplitude instead of size. I need to know the step response characteristics of a step of amplitude 0.05 instead of 1.
Would you know how?

Assume your system is linear, then you can multiply your step response with 20 and then run stepinfo().
