Can I use Simulink to automatically find the optimal circuit parameters?

Hi! I have a known waveform as input signal x and another waveform as my simulated output signal y_sim. I am trying to use a circuit model to simulate a known y signal. My circuit consists of 4 different parameters, one conductor, one capacitor and two resistors, and I can manually tune these to make a y_sim that is quite similar to y. My question is, is there any way I easily can use Simulink to find the optimal parameter values? I am very new to simulink and do not know where to begin. I've been looking at the Design Optimization add-on, but I haven't been able to select my waveform as the wanted output, or to make my circuit parameters the parameters to iterate over. Any tips on where to start?
