Constraining principal point when performing camera calibration?

I believe that estimateCameraParameters is overfitting my data. I would like to constrain the principal point to reduce the dimensionality of the optimization problem.
I saw on Bouguet's website that this was (once upon a time) an undocumented feature in some related code. Additionally this is an opencv feature. Can I pass this optimization constraint into estimateCameraParameters somehow?
