How do i read all the files in a folder?

i want something like:

folder = path_to_folder
   an  For element in folder:
        print(element)

where i get all the files names, in reality they will be a function instead of print applied.

Matlab execute one line at a time..sequence manner? Definitely, you have called it one by one. I asked a silly question..haha.Maybe there is some other approach to call all files without for loop. Why you want to call at a time, whatever you do the operation within the file, you have to check it one by one.
