Why do I keep having multiple GUIDE line errors?

1 view (last 30 days)
I am new to matlab and just experimenting with the software. I try to open any of the 4 preset GUIDEs and none of them will open. I just get lots of errors. Am I doing something wrong or should I redownload the software?

You have created a script called "sum.m", which shadows the built-in function with the same name. This is a bad idea. The solution is to rename your script in C:\Users\Sharon\Documents\MATLAB\My codes\.
  1. Append user-defined folders at the bottom of the path to avoid shadowing built-in functions.
  2. Do not use names of Matlab functions for your own functions.
