Recharge and recovery braking energy.

In a model having a battery, the electric motor supplying a dynamic load, passes through braking phases. I am looking for examples on simulink matlab 2015a, on the design of a command capturing the deceleration of the speed, and the deminution of the level of the SOC of the battery, in order to recharge the latter. how to make a loop having a battery charging output.
cordially. S. BELHADJ.

Hello brother, how are you? I am working on a graduation note for a master’s degree in electrical traction, and the title of my note is Optimizing energy efficiency by recovering energy from a tramway . If possible, please help me. I want to do an example in Matlab Simulink . ramidjarfour@gmail.com
best regards .
Hello brother, I'm fine and you? I also work in this area. Here I do not know exactly your questions?
write me on my email if you want.

Hi!
I used simulink models avaliable in the matlab 2013a/2018a for regenerative braking. My simulation used bldc motor with VSI, I gave torque and speed profile so when the torque is negative (that is we are providing braking torque) the speed decelerates. During this braking action, battery get charged (though soc was very minimal).
Also, I used my VSI to act bidirectionally without additional boost converter.
Hoefully this helps you... let me know...

Greetings.
I thank you for your response and help.
I am interested in your simulink models for regenerative braking.
you say that you are using a bldc engine with VSI,
what is VSI ???
I believe that your models will help me a lot because if the torque is negative (that is to say that we provide a braking torque), the speed decelerates, so we are in braking phase, is that the battery is charge???
This can be verified by visualizing the SOC of the battery.
Cordially.

VSI - Voltage source inverter.
Yes, the battery charges (soc increases during braking). Basically, the motor is fed by the inverter for which the input is the rechargable battery. When we press brake (in case of an electric vehicle) energy has to be stored in a battery. Before, the system consists of additional dc-dc converter to rectify the output from the motor during braking and boost it up before storing in a battery.
A new proposal is made where we can aviod additional dc-dc converter and use the inverter to work bi-directionally. That is the inverter will supply the motor during accelerationa and charges the battery during deceleration by changing the pulse pattern of the inverter.
I have attached some base papers which I used as reference.... take a look at it.
Since EV is the trend you get alot of study papers based on this. Let me know if you need help.. :)
Hi Monica S, we are dealing with vehicle modeliing and we are struck at the point of regeneative braking, your model might help us for further journey. Can you please share the simulink model with us?
