Why do I get error 423 when trying to install or activate MATLAB?

Error 423 means that you have been temporarily locked out of your account due to multiple failed log in attempts. In order to resolve this issue you can perform one of the following actions:

1. You can reset your password from the link in the warning message or by navigating back to the login screen and clicking "Forgot Password".

OR

2. You can contact MathWorks Customer Support to have a password reset link sent to the email address associated to your MathWorks Account.
