Create an image and use thresholding to produce an image with a cross shape and an X shape

1 view (last 30 days)
Is there a way to create a small image matrix that produces an “X” shape when thresholded at one level, and a cross shape “+” when thresholded at another level? If not, why can't I?
I am unsure how to implement this. If I create an image matrix with certain grayscale pixel values in specific rows and columns, I should be able to use thresholding and generate a binary image that looks like an x and then one that looks like a cross
