Print to GUI immediately.

Hello,
I'm making a GUI application with guide and I have a simple question. When the user presses "Run", I want to display a static text "running..." somewhere on the window. I know how to do this, but the problem is that it's only getting displayed when the simulation is over (which really defeats the prupose). How can I force MATLAB to print this output before it continues with the rest of its work.
Thank You :)

Right after you stuff your text into your control on your gui with the set() command, call "drawnow;" and it will force the GUi to update/refresh/repaint immediately.
