How do i find the integral of a function The function is X(t)=(a1+k1sinw1t)+(a2+k2sinw2t)+ 1/(2*pi*sd)*exp(-(t-mu).^2/(2*sd^2));within the limits 0 to 30 and plot it .

X = @(t) a1+k1*sin(w1*t)+(a2+k2*sin(w2*t)+ 1/(2*pi*sd)*exp(-(t-mu).^2/(2*sd^2));
t = linspace(0,30);plot(t,X(t))
plot(t,X(t))
s = integral(X,0,30)

m(t)=m1(t)+m2(t)
is the input to a "integrate and fire" neuron model.m1(t) and m2(t) are arrays of values.K eep threshold T=1. I need to get spikes at the o/p of the model. Whenever integral of m(t) exceeds threshold, a spike has to be generated and integrator is reset.
Can someone help me?

I think you should submit this as a separate question, not as an answer to your previous question. Use a title that may trigger people who might understand your question. I have no knowledge of the kind of model you describe, so I am afraid i cannot help. Consider describing your problem in more detail.

Thanks, I have posted it as a question, separately. IPFM is a simple neuron model.The model has an integrator followed by a comparator.When integral of an input function exceeds certain threshold, a comparator produces a spike and integrator is reset. So a pulse train is produced at the o/p of the comparator.
