How can i use the extracted feature vector in support vector machine for image classification?

I extracted the depth feature from a depth image. Now i want to use this feature to recognize stair using svm. In math-works i saw that they did, classify image using hog feature through svm. But i want to do it using my extracted feature instead of hog feature.I have an array where I store the depth values as a row format like: [100 200 300].I can extract it from all dataset images. but how can i use this feature in svm so that it recognize stairs.

When you say "In math-works i saw that they did...",does this mean that you took an in-class, in-person training class on the Statistics toolbox at the Mathworks or one of their training facilities? If so, you can email your instructor and ask your question about their example/demo that they showed you.
