How can I insert an object for my joystick to avoid?

I have a matlab code and Simulink model which shows the movement of a USB joystick in real time. I am now needing to add some obstacle to the interface for the joystick to avoid. What is the best way to do this? I would prefer to do it in Simulink if possible. Thanks for the help

By adding obstacles to the interface I assume you meant adding objects into the 3D world. In that case, you can only do it manually with the 3D World Editor (invoked with 'vredit').
