Property inspector and MATALB compiler

Is there a way to have the property inspector work after compilation with MATALAB compiler 6.4? That is, I have a function which calls MATLAB's "inspect" function and all is well as long as I'm running it in MATALB; however, when I compile my function into a standalone application the "inspect" function does not work. I understand this has to do the Java Virtual Machine dependency, any ideas? Thanks, Adam

Hi, When you say that the function "doesn't work", is it throwing any errors? or what exactly is happening?

Hello Adam,
I am also facing same issue in my GUI using GUIDE. Do you have any solution for this case. I am using matlab compiler 7.1.
Thanks

Some functions, especially those which are essentially a small applet with a user interface, are not available to be compiled into a standalone program. I don't know what "inspect()" is but I imagine it's like that. Similarly imtool(), and most or all apps on the App tab of the tool ribbon, can't be compiled into a separate program. Check out the ExcludedFiles log the compiler creates for a list of programs that will not be compiled in.

inspect opens a dialog allowing you to look at and edit all the properties of the graphics object you give it so it does fit into this category I would imagine.
