fromdegrees error

I have scripts that execute within Matlab and provide the variables to the base environment for transferring to Excel (if desired). When matlab is opened using the excel addin the fromdegrees command operates without error. However, when I execute my scripts in a standalone mode (without Excel) I get an error back saying that I have used the fromdegrees command incorrectly. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Please copy the line, which causes the error and a copy of the error message. Without seeing both a diagnosis is impossible.
