how to display a audio file in matrix format?

I want to read a wav file in matlab and then i want to perform some operation on the audio file i.e. i want to embedd data into the audio file bits, how can i do that?

Signal = audioread(FileName);
This imports the audio signal as matrix. I assume you require it in an integer format for the bit access. If Signal has the double format, use e.g.:
SignalInt = uint16(Signal * intmax('uint16'));
The embedding of the data cannot be answered in general. Please explain, what you want to do with details.
