So,I tried connecting this camera http://www.amscope.com/3mp-usb2-0-microscope-digital-camera-software.html to my computer and then tried running the command imaqhwinfo and it gives the error "Undefined function or variable".Why it is doing so?
P.S-The camera is working fine otherwise,I have even captured images with its help.

You do not have the Image Acquisition Toolbox installed, or else your installation is corrupt.

Earlier you said you were using R2014a. https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/45182-matlab-support-package-for-usb-webcams starts from R2014a
You might perhaps be able to use https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/43306-simulink-real-time-support-package-for-usb-video in R2013a, but that does say Simulink
