Matlab unable to start

Windows 10 matlab 2016b and 2015a. Matlab will not start, it gets stuck in initializing, then busy. No changes, closed matlab and when I reopened it did this.

Have you tried reinstalling it? Some necessary files might have been deleted for some reason.

That will be my last resort. Is there any known issues with the license manager that would cause this?

I'm back on the network and it started up fine. Before I was on the train with no connection. It seems like a problem with the license manager, but is fixed for me (for now). I have a stand-alone license.
