Read notes using Matlab with not Java Machine (matlab -nojvm)

Hello everyone, How are you today?....

I'm using a Linux Machine with not GUI (not graphical interface), to process big data, for that, I'm using Matlab with no java machine (obviously), the problem is that sometimes I wanna read notes that I created previously in .txt format (with comments, thing that I write, codes...), and since I can not use the editor to read that comments, I'm wondering if I can read a note directly from the Matlab command windows as like in notepad, or other text editor.
