medfilt1omitnan error

Hi all,
I am trying to apply medfilt1 to a dataset with blank cells. The blank cells simply cause breaks in the filtered curve. I am trying to apply 'omitnan' to get it to ignore the blank but I get the following error:
Input arguments must be 'double'.
I double checked the class and it is indeed a double -- so I am not sure what else to change. Any ideas?
y=VarName12;
class(y)
ymed=medfilt1(y,50,'omitnan');
I attached a sample data set.
Thanks

You might have an older copy of the Signal Processing Toolbox. NaN behavior was added in R2015b.
