Why won't you just call them like I suggested? For installation, licensing, and activation questions, this is nearly always the fastest way to a solution. You've now been waiting 3 days for what could have been solved in less than a few hours (and that's if they had to go research it). Why? Why don't you want it solved quickly? Don't insist on getting an answer via Answers forum when you can get FREE help via the phone.

First of all, I don't know the answer.
Second, they deal with installation issues everyday while I only do it like a dozen times a year or so.
Next, like the FAQ says, there can be so many possible different reasons that I can't know them all. Once I just had to install the Visual C++ from Microsoft (not the included one in the MATLAB installer) and that worked. Once it didn't work until I had rebooted. Others have said that that didn't work. So there can be so many reasons I can't know them all.
Next, you're paying them a ton of money for the compiler and that includes technical support so you might as well get your money's worth. I know you have a telephone, and I know you have email and if you had used either one of those, you'd be up and running by now. Now you'll have to wait until the New Years weekend is over. You can call the main phone number in the US, you know, if your particular country does not have a call center.
And perhaps one of the best benefits of contacting the Mathworks Tech Support directly is that they can send you a WebEx link so that they can directly see and run your computer, which will lead to a very fast resolution of your problem.
Monday I hope you'll call them. Good luck.

Hi ,
there is ONE thing that worked perfectly for me :
Start "Windows Modules Installer" service (in French : the service name is "Programme d’installation pour les modules Windows") (Solution originaly found here : http://computerstepbystep.com/windows_modules_installer_service.html )
You can find the original answer here : https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/75802-how-to-fix-installation-error-error-1935
