I am facing problems in re installing matlab 2006a on my Acer laptop with windows xp .I had installed it successfully and was using it .I uninstalled it for Matlab 2007 installation .However i couldnt get the latest Matlab setup and decided to reinstall the old Matlab 2006a but the setup is giving me error "Invalid PLP error".I have cleared the windows registry also but made no difference.
Please let me know where i am making mistake.

The Mathworks gives free telephone or email support to all installation issues, even for student editions. I suggest you call them.

I agree, that asking the installation support is in most cases better than asking the forum for questions about the installation. But we are too proud to share all the homework questions with the support.
