I installed MATLAB R2011b as superuser. Activation ran and completed. But now every time I try to launch MATLAB it tries to go through activation again. This happens whether I try to launch MATLAB as the superuser or not. Once I go through the activation process again, nothing happens - MATLAB doesn't launch. What gives?

Can you give more details on what happens? Have you tried launching MATLAB from the command line? What type of license do you have and is the activation creating the proper license.* files? Does it show up as active on TMW website?

Do you have the libc.so.6 error? If yes: Why do I get a libc.so.6: not found error when launching MATLAB in Ubuntu?
Note : 11.10 not officially supported in R2011b by TMW : System Requirements - Release 2011b Me I have installed MATLAB R2011b under Ubuntu 11.10 as superuser and activated as simple user w/o any issue.
