Hi all
Can anyone recommend any good books on global optimization algorithms? I'd like to get a bit more "under the skin" of the algorithms present in matlab to understand better how I may apply them for the problems I am working on.
Cheers

There maybe better options for attacking the field of Global Optimization as a whole, but since you say you are looking for the innards of MATLAB's algorithms specifically, you might start by looking through the references sections for those routines, e.g.,

What might those better options be? It doesn't necessarily need to be matlab oriented. I'd like to learn more generally how optimization algorithms work as well :-)

I don't have any recommendations for general books. Browsing amazon could be the thing to do.
