How to run a repeated-measures t-test in Matlab to determine whether you can reject the null hypothesis.

I have collected data of 7 individuals at rest and then walking. I want to run a repeated measures t-test and then compare it by running another t-test but this time assuming that the data from the two conditions are in fact from two different groups of people. i know i have to use anova1 when dealing with multiple samples but i'm not sure how to go about this.

use ttest2 for a two-sample t-test (the two conditions are from two different groups of subjects), and ttest for a paired t-test (the two conditions are repeated measures within a single group of subjects)

I’m not certain what your design is, but the multcompare function might be what you want.
