I recently updated my system to Fedora 42, and I am not able to launch MATLAB R2024b.
I am getting this error: Unable to communicate with required MathWorks services (error 5201).
I did all the steps, and even did a clean install, still this error appears.

I am facing a similar problem, but I don't get any log information in my system journal on Fedora 42. Though I did find a linked discussion here that may have to do something with the problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/1k2uby2/trouble_with_matlab_after_upgrading_to_fedora_42/

This is due to changes in glibc 2.41 which have impacted dynamic library loading. The latest MathWorks Service Host release (2025.5.0.3) should resolve this - please see this answer for instructions on running the MathWorks Service Host reinstaller, which will ensure you have the latest version.
