Is it possible to use keyHash without the random seed per MATLAB session?

8 views (last 30 days)
We have recently discovered the keyHash function, which would simplify our code quiet a bit. However, this function has the property that results will not be reproducible over MATLAB sessions or parallel workers. For our needs we need it to be reproducible over the parallel workers. Is there potentially a way that we can use the keyHash function without the random seed per MATLAB session behavior.

I'm afraid not, can you tell us more about your workflow?
When you look across various other languages, no one seems to guarantee reproducible hashes between sessions.

We currently use this to compress the keys for a dictionary, which we like to have reusable over the parallel workers.
