Why does my Oracle JBDC database cause a silent crash in MATLAB R2023b?

I have code that sends queries to a JDBC Oracle database on my local network. In MATLAB R2019b, this works without issue. In MATLAB R2023b however, after several minutes of repeatedly executing queries MATLAB crashes silently. Until the crash occurs everything behaves normally. How do I fix this?

It is possible that your "ojdbc8.jar" file is corrupted or outdated. To rule out this possibility, please download the latest JAR from the Oracle website.
