What version of MATLAB are you working with? Please provide more info about your workflow in order to reproduce the issue you are seeing. Some ideas:

• Maybe you have an m-file on your path that is function-shadowing a function needed by Classification Learner. To check this, try removing all of your own local code from your MATLAB path and try again. Or, try your workflow on MATLAB online (without adding local code), to see if the issue appears on MATLAB online.
• There is this external bug report from R2024a which is related to feature selection: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/details/3266486 . This has been fixed in 24aU3 and in 24b. It doesn't sound like this is the issue you are observing.
