How to add a series transformer to the model

6 views (last 30 days)
Hello everyone, I have an idea. I want to add the secondary side of a transformer to the output of an AC model. When we have 230 volts at the end of the AC voltage source, in cases of low voltage caused by dynamic load, the series transformer should be activated by a relay or switch and add 5 volts to compensate for the voltage drop. Is it possible to implement this in my model? What could be wrong that prevents me from connecting the primary side to the AC voltage source?

I believe what you're trying to achieve is feasible. You can refer to the following MathWorks example to understand how to use a transformer in your scenario:
Ensure that the primary side of the transformer is compatible with the AC voltage source. Check for impedance matching, proper phase alignment, and the transformer's ratings—especially the turns ratio—to confirm it can provide the required 5V boost.
