Why has ESP32 hardware device connection issues with Windows 11 over virtual USB port with CP210x controller chip

I do not get any connection to the ESP32 hardware device board when using Simulink or MATLAB Support Package for Arduino Hardware.

This seems to be a problem with WINDOWS11 only and the CP2102 USB → UART driver see:

The “manufacturer” Silicon Labs has now updated the driver for Windows11. Download latest driver go to: https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers?tab=downloads
