Simulink Model of Braking system of a Freight Train

Hello I am working on a Simulink model that simulate the Longitudinal Dynamic of a Freight train. At the moment I only modeled the Locomotive and some wagons and they are following a speed profile. Next step is to model a Braking system, simulating the delay in long vehicles, and integrate it in the current model.
Someone can help me sharing the model of a pneumatic braking system or giving some advice.
Thanks a lot
Marco

Look into whether Simscape, Simscape Driveline and Simscape Fluids can be helpful for you.

Hi Marco,
These links might be helpful:
- Simscape Driveline provides brake blocks: https://www.mathworks.com/help/sdl/brakes-and-detents.html.
- More detailed braking systems can be constructed using blocks in Simscape, Simscape Fluids, and Simscape Driveline (e.g., https://www.mathworks.com/help/sdl/ug/fixed-caliper-disk-brake.html).
One of the domains in Simscape and Simscape Fluids is the Gas domain, which may help you model pneumatic braking systems when coupled with mechanical blocks in Simscape or Simscape Driveline. See these links.
Hope this helps,
Kwon
