(1) One cannot figure out the underlying reason for the issue without thorough reproduction steps. If you don't want to share your model and reproduction steps on the Internet, please reach out to MW technical support.

(2) It might look strange that you run into "Web preference" error. However, the core issue is that the "Simulation Manager" was not initialized properly. In other words, MATLAB tried to run requested feature but failed. I assume that some of parallel computing features are not fully supported but you tried to run them. Again, we need reproduction steps to figure out the underlying reasons.

Hi,

The parsim function simulates a dynamic system multiple times, either in parallel or serially.

I am assuming that you have set a thread-based environment as the default in your profile. Note that thread-based environments support only a subset of the MATLAB functions available for process workers. Currently, the thread-based environment doesn’t support the parsim function. Therefore, you need to use a process-based parallel pool environment for running the parsim function.
