temperature control with peltier module and fan to spread heat

I am working on an automated plant growth chamber and i want to simulate the temperature control as a subsytem unfortunately this is my first time in this field. below is what i want to achieve:
- first of all a user is able to input a desired temperature
- next a PID code on a microcontroller supplys current to a Peltier module to supply heat to the enclosed area. i have found out that this cannot be done straightforward and an electronic circuit will be required for this.
- a fan will blow to distribute this heat within the system and hence themperature is being controlled
my problem is :
- i do not know how to module the peltier module and fan system alogside the area or volume that the control will take place
- i want to do a real time simulation with my code running on my microcontroller
And then i can make an analysis of whether it may work or not based on graphs and other data.
Has anyone done anything similar or can anyone help me with this project?
