Why does the simscape voltage sensor read non-zero voltage when not connected to a voltage source?

I am trying to put together a simple HV power network, see below diagram for details. The initial conditions are: capacitor voltage = 0 and all switches and relays are open. I am expecting the voltage sensor after the battery contactor to read 0V as it's not connected to the voltage source and the capacitor voltage to remain at 0V as well for the same reason, however the Vdclink reads 457.2V and the capacitor voltage ramps up in small increments. Am I missing something here? I have tried moving/adding electrical reference block(s) but the Vdclink is never 0V for the above initial conditions. However, Vdclink aligns with Vc as soon as I close the PDU contactors.

I have replaced the SPST relays with switches in the attached circuit model for simplicity but the behaviour and voltage measurements are similar to the circuit that I have described in the query.
