Plotting a cartesian equation with an imaginary component of 0*1i

5 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I have a cartesian equation that I want to plot on a cartesian graph,
c = 4 + 0*1i,
the problem is that it plots it vertically up the y axis 4 units, as shown in the figure (c is the red star, all the way in the top left)
How do I make it plot down the real axis (x-axis) like it is supposed to?

c = 4+1i*0 ;
plot(real(c),imag(c),'*r')
