Java issue after switching to a new laptop

I got a new M2 MacBook Pro and migrated everything, including MATLAB 2023a from an older MacBook Pro (Intel chip). I started to get this error, but I was not able to fix it.

  • A Java runtime is required to be installed on your Mac for you to be able use MATLAB natively on Apple silicon.
