Preventing Test Browser From Opening When Running Class-Based Unit Tests

5 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
When running a class-based unit test, Matlab automatically opens the test browser and hides the workspace browser.
Is it possible to prevent automatic opening of the test browser?
I would prefer to see the workspace browser to debug and keep track. The test results are printend in the command window anyway.

Hi!
To prevent the Test Browser from opening whenever we run a class-based unit test, you can follow these steps:
1. In the Command Window, go to the folder in which your class containing unit tests lies using the following command:
cd pathToYourFolder
2. Run your tests using this command:
runtests
Please refer to this documentation for more information on ‘runtests’: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/runtests.html
Alternatively, you can just change the position of the Test Browser so that it doesn’t hide the Workspace through these steps:
  1. Right-click on Test Browser.
  2. Select ‘Undock Test Browser’.
  3. Drag & move to your desired position.
