how to properly transfer plotted figure to a MS Word file?

4 views (last 30 days)
I have always been using copy and paste and tried all the "copy options". Unfortunately, the figure in the Word file is usually slightly distorted. For example, the plotted points (using plot(x, y, 'k.') would be magnified and look really messy.
Is there a way I can transfer the plotted figures to Word file so that it will look exactly as it is in the .fig file?

Don't know; you might try converting to pdf and inserting that. I suspect the difference in renderers between the two means there will always be at least some difference.

Have you tried tweaking the export setup?
Other things you might want to try are changing the marker size or the PaperSize attribute in the figure properties.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I tried to save it as "emf" files. This seems to help a little bit, although the resolution is not ideal.
