where n=48, k=7, α=0.995

Note that binocdf requires Statistics and ML Toolbox.
The question looks simple, what have you attempted yet?

Maybe "binocdf" has an intelligent solution for large values of n. But n = 48 and k = 7 should work without precautions in using "nchoosek".
@Torsten Thanks a lot for the information.
@Dyuman Joshi I have the ML Toolbox. I am trying this, and will let you know about how it is working.

I would proceed to implement the formula step by step.
First, compute the addends of the sum.
Hint: nchoosek(n,m) returns , (1-alpha)^m returns and alpha^(n-m) returns
Then you only need to compute Pr = 1 - sum(addends)
Hope this helped with your homework
