Hello,
I have circular plate that contains 20 acceloremeters on it. I extract the natural frequencies, modal damping ratios as well as mode shapes from FRFs by using modalfit function.
Question is how to shape(plot) those mode shapes for circular plate? I made it like beam as its shown below, however, it is hard to compare it with FEM results as it is shown in figure 2.
You can find ms data for first 4 mode shapes and 20 accelerometer locations in excel format

hello
I believe you will have to write your own program to put the correct sensor locations as a grid and "animate" it with the correct modal amplitudes :
NB :
take the imaginary (max) FRF amplitudes if your sensor reading is displacement or acceleration
take the real (max) FRF amplitudes if your sensor reading is velocity
