Hello all, I have a question related to the antenna array toolbox. I am a student who is currently working on this toolbox. As part of my project work, I am working on Antenna Array Designer. Here I am creating a Microstrip Patch Antenna and trying to plot the directivity and powerdB for the antenna at various frequencies. As part of the task, I needed to know the distance between the transmitter and receiver that is considered for the given power computation graphs.I would also like to know about the amount of power that is sent by the antenna array to the receiver and what are the factors taken into consideration for the same. A quick summary of my questions are
In matlab for the antennas using the antenna array designer we can compute the powerdB and directivity, how to know the distance considered, between the transmitter and receiver for the computation involved? Also how to know what is the power sent by the transmitter antenna array used and the factors considered for the same?
Thank you

Hello Soumya
I understand you are trying to figure out the distance considered between the transmitter and receiver and the power sent by Tx antenna for the computation of powerdB and directivity of microstrip patch antenna.
For a default Antenna object, the far field distance is taken as 1km or 1000m and the power sent by transmitter antenna depends upon the value of amplitude taper that is given as feed which by default is 1volt.
Hope this resolves your issue
