Can I use sync my mobile camera with matlab for object detection?

Hello Expert,

I hope you are doing well.

While doing exam invigilation duty, I am thinking can we automate it with using matlab and mobile camera...!

I want to syn mobile camera with matlab and matlab will detect if the student doing cheating or not (may be using object location tracking or other technique)

Hey expert, is it possible? how?

The link shows how to get Android or iOS live images into MATLAB.

The second part of the requirement is the "invigilation". That is going to be the hard part.

For example, you probably permit erasers -- even on exams written in pen. Maybe you even bother to examine the erasers at the start of the exam. But is your analysis going to be good enough to detect slight-of-hand of exchanging the eraser with a different eraser that has formulas written on it in pencil?

If you think that your algorithms are good enough to detect slight of hand, I suggest that you look at the YouTube channel CardMagicByJason which contains many many examples of manipulation that is undetectable by the great majority of people.
