"Maximum recursion limit of 500 reached." when loading model in Simulink

I have a subsystem reference that I have verified in a testbench, which works fine in the testbench.

When I add this subsystem to part of a (much) larger application, I am getting the following messages in the console when I try to load the model:

Thanks. I've no idea what happened to the rest of my post, or why it would complain about a recursion limit, but increasing it does seem to have fixed the problem.

When you use a recursive function, the default Matlab limit is set to 500 but you can change it.
